Oregon State University’s Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP) gives you the chance to apply classroom learning into paid, full-time industry internships. Over two six-month terms, you’ll work with companies across Oregon and apply what you’ve learned on real projects. You’ll gain valuable skills and make industry connections for your future.
MECOP gives you more than an internship; it’s a pathway to real-world experience. Through two paid placements with leading companies, you’ll learn by doing and graduate ready to make an impact.
Engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and certain business majors—accounting, marketing, business analytics and related fields.
The main application period is in the winter of sophomore year (your second year of university, with selection taking place in spring). Some programs also have an additional application in the fall.
You’ll need to meet your major requirements and be on track for upper-division coursework. MECOP also screens for GPA and completed prerequisites.
